KJ wrote her first story at the age of seven. "It was a story about me and my gigantic, overstuffed teddy bear named Brownie. Yes, he was brown. I thought I was being clever with his name. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be a writer."

When she was ten years old, she won a contest and had her short story printed in a local newspaper. She won several language arts, grammar and writing awards in primary, junior and high school. She earned a degree in English/Creative Writing from the University of Kentucky.

KJ has had several short stories and poems published online and in various publications. In November 2004, her first novel, Fanatical Betrayal was published. Her second book, My Heart Revealed, A Collection of Poetry and Short Stories followed in 2006. Her latest book entitled, One Sweet Dream was published in late 2009.

KJ currently does freelance work and she's writing another novel.
